What if…

Have you ever stopped and thought, "I am glad what I thought I wanted didn't happen?"

Maybe you realized you don't want it at all, or perhaps you understand the timing is wrong.

Whatever the reason, you are grateful your desires didn't come to pass, at least not yet.

Lately, I've realized the things I have been praying for the most haven't come to pass for a reason. I had one of those "aha" moments!

Personally, one of my greatest desires is to have a Godly man that loves Miles and me with his whole heart. I've wanted a family for as long as I can remember. Sadly, I have forced it many times; naturally, nothing ever lasted. Thank you, Jesus!

Recently, I had a jam-packed night filled with business engagements and errands. But the evening was great; I felt empowered, free, and happy! I had a purpose again and could feel the drive within me! Something I haven't felt in over a year!

It's then I realized if I had a partner right now, I wouldn't have as much time and freedom to build my business and discover myself again. I wouldn't be able to be as flexible because I would have expectations to maintain and grow a relationship in addition to all that is on my plate. But, most importantly, I wouldn't have the time I've been able to give my son.

Not only did I choose to build a business after a very uncertain and unstable year, but I also decided to homeschool my son, a task I did not plan for or expect at all. However, I'll admit I am excited!

I have sat back this past month and watched God move in my life like never before! He has revealed so much to me, and I am grateful for his love and grace! Why has this month been different from all the rest? I finally said, "I can't do it alone, and I don't know what to do." I laid all my burdens, worries, and cares at his feet. I said, "I trust you!" I have been in awe of his faithfulness!

However, I've done more than just lay it all at his feet. God is faithful and just. His promises are yes and amen, but not if you sit back and wait for Him and believe you have nothing to do. God's grace is a gift; it is not works based. That being said, you still have to go to work and/or school. You have to exercise your faith and give God something to work with.

Recently I heard Gloria Copeland say, "If you get serious, God will get serious. So how long are you going to sit around and do nothing?"

How true! Get serious about your life! Stake your claim, have faith, and watch God move in your life like never before.

I can genuinely say I am EXCITED about my future and all God has in store!

Psalms 57:10 - For your unfailing love is as high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches the clouds.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 and 11 - To everything, there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven. He has made everything beautiful in its time.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding. In all your ways, submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
